‘Telecom Prospect 2007: New Art New Zealand’ Publication
City Gallery Wellington is thrilled to be publishing a catalogue publication to accompany the exhibition ‘Telecom Prospect 2007: New Art New Zealand’.
This publication documents and celebrates the third exhibition in the ‘Prospect’ series. A new initiative, it is the first print publication of the series (previous ‘Prospect’ exhibitions have had online and a newspaper-style publication only). City Gallery thanks Creative New Zealand Toi Aotearoa for their contribution towards this publication.
The content includes a curatorial overview by exhibition curator Heather Galbraith, outlining what led to her selection of works and further investigating some of the thematic focuses of the exhibition. It also includes writing about and installation images of all the featured works plus commissioned exhibition responses by artist and critic John Hurrell and writers Harold Grieves and Kate Montgomery.
