SQUARE2 video programme

‘Telecom Prospect 2007: New Art New Zealand’ is occurring throughout City Gallery’s gallery and public spaces, including our SQUARE2 moving image programme. Five works have been selected to be shown in SQUARE2 in relation to the thematic clusters of the exhibition and will be screened over its duration.

SQUARE2 (pronounced 'squared') is an initiative that has been in place since 2005 and involves the use of six small monitors (in the entrance to the Gallery, just before you come into the front door) to show a range of work by New Zealand and international artists. It is unique in that the public are able to view the work 24 hours a day.

Screening schedule:

9 - 18 February 2007: Elvon Young & Davor Popadich

19 February - 4 March 2007: Kah Bee Chow

5 - 25 March 2007: Simon Lawrence

26 March - 15 April 2007: Gregor Kregar

16 April - 13 May 2007: Tahi Moore
