This is the third Telecom Prospect exhibition which Telecom has supported and we believe it’s important for several key reasons.
First and foremost, it is all about showcasing the recent work of more than 40 New Zealand artists. As a New Zealand company, that has special appeal to us.
Secondly, the contemporary works being exhibited are here because they are some of the most vital and curious new artworks in New Zealand. This means that the Telecom Prospect exhibition is often a talking point and, as I’m sure you can appreciate, getting people talking is pretty much what Telecom is about.
Art is one of the most innovative and effective ways for people of all walks of life to communicate feelings and ideas. Artists are constantly pushing the boundaries and finding new ways to express themselves. And at Telecom we have people who are not shy to express themselves - their creativity helps drive the company forward and keep it at the forefront of the constantly changing communications landscape.
Telecom is delighted to be working with the City Gallery to bring you Telecom Prospect: New Art New Zealand. We hope that through this spectacular exhibition of artwork, these hugely talented artists will enhance the lives of New Zealanders.
